"Anna , Dionysia, Raisa, & Zachary Gust from New Stuyahok donated some smoked salmon to hand out to the people in need. One of the of the most important things missing in our loved one's lives is culture. I hope when they eat this, they close their eyes and feel like they are back
home at fish camp." Samuel Johns
is to connect people to their network and services in and around Alaska. The number one barrier to decreasing homelessness is the person's inability to connect to resources, including family or social networks.
Forget me not uses Facebook as a platform providing 25,500 plus members a venue that, when used, connects them to family and helps them to obtain other much needed resources. We consider smartphones and technology an important component in the mitigation of homelessness, the sharing of culture and the connection to services.
Our mission includes ensuring people have access to technology.
When someone contacts us:
We offer support and explain the Facebook group's purpose. With the use of technology Individuals may use the platform to reach out to their families and let them know they are okay. Some request traditional foods, while others may ask for help to return home. Forgetmenot USA makes every effort to assist people so they don't end up on the streets, sleeping on benches, in entrances to businesses or on corners.
Through engagement we have had a significant impact on reducing the number of people experinecing homelessness in Anchorage and around the State.

Forgetmenot USA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to connecting people to resources which will reduce the number of homeless people living on the streets.
Forgetmenot USA will use your donations to help us better serve the public by getting people home; this entails purchasing airline tickets and transient housing. We often need local transportation too. We intend to take action and we get results. You can donate here, on our page or drop us a line.
