 Mae Good

Mae was born in Anchorage, Alaska, and raised three children in Wasilla.

She has worked in media, marketing, dealership management, and workforce development and advocated for various causes.  She has volunteered, organized, and orchestrated statewide campaigns:  During the ’90s, she spearheaded what was to become a ‘Monument to Children’: the Wasilla Skateboard Park,  built in 1999, was a 250k project and considered one of the most utilized facilities in the Matanuska Susitna Borough.  It was early in the spring of the same year that the Columbine shootings took place, an event that created a ripple effect and was a devastating blow to every parent with school-age children; were they safe?  Shortly after that event,  Mae joined a group advocating peaceful solutions in the Matanuska Susitna Borough. With limited time and two small children, she designed a statewide campaign that would air loud and clear across the State of Alaska (thank you to the media), encouraging the youth of Alaska to use conflict resolution.  With a background in Accounting from the Alaska Business College, Mae studied Sociology, Gerontology, and Alaska Native Politics at the University of Alaska Anchorage, where her father had once taught Geology.  She acquired a realtor's license in 2020 and holds a certificate in 'employment services'. She formed the first meet-up group in Las Vegas, Nevada, geared for children on the spectrum, coached three years of youth basketball, ended up with a championship team, and became the statewide organizer for the most significant and expensive election in the history of Alaska.

Living and working in remote Alaska since the mid-70s, Judy Miller has been extensively involved in many Alaskan issues, people and  places. Her devotion to the State extends to working and serving in  varied capacities spanning large swaths of the State from jobs with  large companies to her own environmental consulting business. She has  worked on the Alyeska Pipeline, oil spill plan writing and response, and  volunteered for many non-profits including for the arts and Fly-Ins.  Living and working in remote Alaska often involves providing her own  fly-in transportation and cold weather outfits. Where it previously was  often a dog team or snow shoes, now, like for many Alaskans,  her other  car is her airplane.
